HIRED
It feels so good to catch a break!!!!! Yesterday, I got a call from the IHC Child Development Center located on the campus of the McKay Dee hospital. They offered me a teaching position in one of their toddler classrooms. I could not be more excited. Not only will I be able to walk to work, but they offer excellent benefits.
And, it is my birthday. So, today I'm wearing my new mint skinnies, and hanging out with my dog.

how did i do that?
I never thought that this day would come. Yesterday I graduated from Weber State University. Going to college was one of the hardest things I have ever done. It is so hard. But, it was also one of the best experiences that I have ever had. This experience definitely helped me to figure out what I want to do with my life and who I really am. I love my dear school friends and I'm going to miss you all dearly. You guys helped me through some hard times and I'll never forget you. A special shout out to Mr. Skeen for enduring my weekly emotional break downs, and lack of housekeeping, and for listening to me practice presentations over and over again. You are absolutely crazy for loving me so much. Anyway, here's to starting my life after school! Wish me luck with the job search...

Something to be grateful for...or a lot of things to be grateful for
I love November.
- It gives me a glimpse of hope that the fall school semester is truly coming to an end.
- I get to start thinking about the holidays, and get to start buying presents without getting in trouble.
- Thanksgiving. I love it. And not just for the food. I love the part where everyone says what they're grateful for.
- My little Lucy will be 1 year old, and I love treating her like she is a child. (already have her gifts bought and party planned...go ahead and judge me I don't care)
- I love how I start thinking about all of the things I'm grateful for. Which is something I should be doing year round. But, the month of gratitude is a great reminder before starting a new year.
I feel so grateful to share the holiday seasons with Shane. It's been so fun to start our own traditions together. The nice thing about being married is that you go through some really great things and they bring you closer, and then you go through some really hard things and they bring you even closer. I'm grateful for my testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know without a doubt that Heavenly Father listens to and answers my prayers.
Enjoy this post friends, because who knows when I'll get around to posting again.

Before and After: Living Room
This is what the front room looked like before we bought the house.
Notice the beautiful window coverings. And, the wood paneling "accent wall."
This is what was hiding behind the massive window covering. Not a very pleasant surprise. This "window" is a sliding glass door. But, kind of a fake door because the siding outside makes it look like a normal window. It was weird. That's all I'm going to say.
Unfortunately, there was wallpaper everywhere. On every single wall throughout the
entire top floor (with the exception of the wood paneling wall). Luckily we have fabulous family and friends who helped take it all down. Below is the first wall that we did, and if I remember right we were saying to each other: "This isn't too bad." We stopped saying that after the 2nd wall.
Shaner getting ready to put the finish on the wood floor. Can you believe they covered up these lovely floors with pink carpet? I know, it's crazy. And, they are in fabulous condition. Shane made knee pads out of old carpet pad and secured them with masking tape hahaha.

Drum roll please.............
Can you believe the difference??!!
We got a new window (a painful, but necessary expense). Took down all the wallpaper, got new casing and baseboards, refinished the wood floor, put can lights in (thanks Dustin), and painted. You can't tell how cute my rug is in this picture, but it is super shaggy and I got a sweet deal on it at Target.
